How do you buy shares on the LuSE?
Once your account has been opened, please be advised that in order to buy securities on the LuSE, you need to send us written instructions or complete the buy instruction form, indicating the terms within which you would like to trade i.e. price limit, volume or available funds for investment. Our transaction fees total 1.5% of the value of your trade, which includes the brokerage and regulatory fees. As a buyer, your account needs to be prefunded, so you would need to transfer the funds and give us proof of payment as you give us your instructions.
How do you sell shares on the LuSE?
At the point at which you would like to sell securities, you will still need to send us written instructions or complete the sell instruction form, indicating the terms within which you would like to trade. The transaction fees are the same as when you are buying i.e. a total 1.5% of the value of your trade, which includes the brokerage and regulatory fees. You would also need to provide us bank details to which funds from the sell of your securities should be sent on settlement.
How long does it take to receive trade funds?
Each time you trade, we will provide you a contract note as proof of your transaction. The LuSE runs a T+3 settlement cycle therefore, it takes 3 working days for your transactions to settle, unless otherwise stated.
